See More at Sea World

Quickly becoming a Friday night tradition, we joined our new friends Wes and Amy along with their twin boys for dinner at O'Boys Bar BQ. Barrett and Brody are just a little bit younger than HJ so when we all get together, it can get pretty loud.

Wes and Amy asked us what our plans for the weekend were to which my reply was: painting, yard work and stuff. Wouldn't we rather do something F-U-N? They were taking the boys to see S-H-A-M-U, and wouldn't we like to go, too?

AE and Renegade

Yes, we took a stuffed animal to Sea World. Renegade is AE's class "pet" who gets to go on many a weekend adventure by coming home with all of Mrs. Wilhite's students. We will write up an account of Renegade's adventures to send with him when AE takes him back to school on Tuesday.

ONE picture of me for the day

A few of The Daddy enjoying some PINK cotton candy with his girls

Renegade thoroughly enjoyed the show from his primo seat!

My favorite show in the Whale and Dolphin theater

Dude is surfing on dolphins!

The dolphins do the best tricks and flips

This show has a Cirque de Soliel feel to it

with trapeze artists, divers and trained birds.

SERIOUSLY, he was surfing on two dolphins through the water!

And then he taught her to do it!

This show has the most action and WOW-factor.

Brody, HJ and Barrett at the underwater dolphin viewing

Shamu's Happy Harbor has fun stuff for even little, little ones

Love how all four of our kids came down together!

Mr. Wes eventually backed up into a man with NO sense of humor!

Renegade was not allowed on the carousel!

The Shamu show is very inspirational

and could make a pregnant woman

a little teary-eyed. Just sayin'.

This trip, we found some more aquariums

that had gorgeous moon jellies that

remind me of someone's alma mater!

I think we passed by these fellows three or four times before we actually stopped to take some pictures.

Pretty!

And we were pretty worn out by the time we got home last night. It was a big day with no naps. For once, I knew more about where we were going than The Daddy (a rare occurrence indeed!). Since we came with Nana a couple of weeks ago, I was familiar with the place and we got to see several things we didn't get to see last time.

The new roller coaster, Manta had a 60-minute wait time, so The Daddy didn't get to ride it on this trip. He and Wes just might pop down there on a long-lunch and give it a few whirls someday soon! HA!

They probably will.

A Quick Little Tour...

of our lives' lately as told by the pictures on my phone:

The Crazy Dog is patient:

HJ pretends he's the new baby:

The girls compare tongues:

Post-bank drive thru:

The teller was smart enough to send them both the same color: BLUE!

HJ gets to do fun things with Mama while AE is in school:

She also had a go at potty training:
IT DIDN'T STICK.

The glamour gals love a picnic:

In our front yard:

The Crazy Dog got some crazy FLORIDA fleas and was subjected to the "cone of shame":

AE drew this impressive drawing of The Daddy:

I DID take a couple pictures when Nana was here!

SHAMU!

I finally got this art framed for the girls' room:

The girls' love flowers from Poppy!

AND FINALLY:

I cut myself some bangs!

Four Days Later

No, it's not the start of some scary movie.

It's the most fabulous flower tip ever!

Remember last Saturday two darling girls and my man picked up some flowers for moi?

See photographic evidence:

NOW, see same flowers but four days later:

How do they stay so fresh and "macho"?

Take a closer look:

Pennies in the bottom of the vase.

I don't know how. I'm just sharing!

A Day Early

When it comes to romance, NASCAR doesn't do it for me. The Daddy's off to Daytona this morning for the biggest race in NASCAR, The Daytona 500. In reality, he's going for work purposes. So the girls and I are on our own for the day today, and I MIGHT take them out to an Italian restaurant this afternoon.

Flowers from Poppy to his favorite girls

Yesterday however, I slept in until 9:30. I awoke to pink heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast and a fresh cup of coffee. I spent the morning just hanging out with my man and girls. Then at two yesterday afternoon, The Daddy sent me off to get a massage, manicure and pedicure. I trudged my feet toward the salon. Just kidding!

When I came home two and half hours later, the table was set (candles and flowers even!)

and dinner was going on the stove. The Daddy got the girls dressed in beautiful dresses and even brushed their hair and adorned them with bows! The Daddy made delicious filet Mignon, mashed potatoes, carrots and macaroni and cheese. The girls loved it all but the steak!

Then the girls and The Daddy baked peanut butter cookies with Hershey's kisses on top for dessert.

So funny, my man let the girls pick my card out. It's one of those cards that you can record a special message and then it plays a song. Well, The Daddy didn't read the front of the card all the way to the end:

Inside the girls recorded a sweet message, and then it played Mary Wells' song "My Guy"!

Later that evening, The Daddy put the girls to bed while I relaxed some more on the couch. Lovely day; love my guy!
