How To Be In Many Places At One Time

Today the girls were in a costume parade at school and then each girl had a Halloween party in her classroom. Whew! SJ went along for the ride and slept through most of the eventful morning.

Here's a little sneak peek at our trio's costumes for Sunday's festivities:
Tink, Captain Hook and Wendy

The girls will be mightily disappointed when come Sunday, The Daddy doesn't dress as Peter Pan! I know I have a problem, but I will dress them on theme as long as I can get away with it. This idea has been in the works since LAST Halloween when we acquired the Tink costume. The addition of Captain Hook into the plan was perfect!

Our sweet boy waiting for the parade to start. Dying with anticipation!

Here comes HJ's class.

Blurry photo while trying to maneuver the stroller and wield the lens.

There she goes!

HJ's whole class was just darling!

I LOVE the caveman!

Don't you want to give Spiderman a hug?

Happy HJ

This is the only shot I got of AE with her class. My camera battery died!

Straight after the parade, HJ's class had a party. Since the camera died, I didn't get any pictures of SJ crying while I helped HJ with her Halloween craft. I quickly wrapped up the craft (a necklace) and headed home to feed SJ and recharge the camera battery.

When I returned an hour later, I got to sneak in and observe AE in her class before she noticed me and her brother.

The moms went overboard on the decorations, food and fun!

Thankfully, the kids changed out of costumes before the parties! Lots of treats without any tricks!

Moms started the children on their crafts:

AE hard at work:

Cute little treat bag! The spider was made from a hand print.

A rare shot of Mama with her BIGGEST girl and baby boy:

Don't you know, I just got my roots done!

Tomorrow Nana and Papa will be back in town to check on how much SJ has grown, babysit the kids while The Daddy and I have a date, carve pumpkins, eat Taco Soup, trick or treat and GO TO DISNEY!

Woo-who! Y'all have a safe holiday!

Mermaids and Pirates

Back in September, it was her birthday.

Remember, she's five now, and we had an Under the Sea Mermaid and Pirate Party.

Poppy came in town to celebrate, along with Nana and Papa.

Poppy played a pirate.

Jellyfish set the scene.

The beach board was a backdrop for photos.

And here's how the mermaid costume came out.

Love how this little one posed!

Sweet Sarah flopped down as soon as she put the costume on!

All of AE's classmates and new friends got to search for pirate treasure on the playground.
And then there was plenty of swinging.

And swinging.

And swinging.

And swinging.

Don't you want to smoosh sweet Charles?

What about Barrett sneaking a piece of ice?

Lots of fun on the monkey bars

And down the slide she goes!

After snacks it was time for cake!

Then she blew out the candles.

And the guests "fished" for their favors on their way out.
We moved the beach scene in front of the open door and The Daddy sat behind it to clip goodie bags on the fishing pole when the children sent the line over.

It was a memorable party, and AGAIN we forgot to get a family picture! Sad since it was SJ's first birthday celebration (besides his own).

Here's happy HJ.
