1, 2, 3, 4 and 5

He's getting older by the minute.

I feel the same way, little man.

How about here? That more comfy, son?

Yes, mama.

He's five-months-old now.

He's really very drool-y.

And smiley.

And still has his hands in his mouth. ALL. THE. TIME.

Except when he's got his toes.

Or imitating buddha.

He's rolling over both ways.

He loves to look at the ceiling fan, even if it's still.

He's all about the play mat.

And listening to some tunes.

What-a New Year

It's not a new year's resolution, but I know I need to drink more water throughout the day.

Tip for Mom:
Fill a cup with 15 oz. of water and bring it to drink on your way to drop the kids off at preschool. Resolve to drink it before you get back home.

Then, do the same thing with another 15 oz. on your way to pick the kids up from preschool.

Voila! There's 30 oz.

I've found that drinking water in a cup instead of one of those fancy, take-it-with you bottles that always leak on me, helps me.

My cup of choice?

An Auburn Tiger stadium cup because you know my husband is a National Champion, ahem, fan!

Gotta go, there's a baby boy calling my name!

Because I Couldn't Just Let It Go...

Christmas was magical LAST year, you know...in 2010. I documented it for our newest addition, SJ, but I neglected to share the magic for our girls.

Before we left for Georgia, we opened our presents from Poppy:

Our little cowgirl couldn't have been happier!

This MAY be a clue about Halloween for next year. BECAUSE I CAN'T DO A Halloween WITHOUT A THEME, YOU KNOW.

Evidenced HERE and HERE and HERE.

But I digress.

Once we were in Georgia, we settled in for food that wouldn't quit, time with family and friends and the big sha-bang, Christmas Morning.

Here AE waits patiently at the top of the stairs for her sister to finish up in the bathroom:

First thing the girls saw was the highly-requested PILLOW PET. HJ received the unicorn while AE got the dolphin.

AE got another addition to her cowgirl get-up, her very own "horse she can ride".

She named it "Bullseye."

The other big items were from American Girl. AE picked Ruthie,

and HJ got her very own Bitty Baby who she named, Rosie.

Quite possibly my FAVORITE moment from Christmas, aside from the snowfall, was seeing these sweet sisters exchange presents.

AE picked out a Belle gloves, purse and necklace set to match the dress that Santa brought HJ.

HJ picked out a Color Wonder finger painting kit for her big sister.

The love between those two!

Then the girls got the special joy that only a white Christmas could bring.

The Daddy and Uncle C. took the girls out to play late in the afternoon.

I stood on the porch and took photos.

They made snowballs.

And they threw them at each other.

And at Uncle C. You can tell how dark it was when I was trying to take these pictures.

They made snow angels.

They made memories to last a lifetime.

They got tuckered out.

Ah, now I feel ready for blogging in the new year!

To the Extreme

Extreme Home Makeover, that is!

While The Daddy is in Arizona for the Auburn Tigers' National Championship game, his parents came to stay with our brood and me. We headed over to Cocoa Beach yesterday to see Uncle C's girlfriend, Alyson at her job. She travels round the country with the show as a makeup artist.

You can tell the girls were impressed. Ty was very talkative (surprise) and had a lot to talk to The Daddy's parents about. He grew up in Marietta, Georgia where they currently reside.

Alyson and the girls outside the "StarWagon."

Getting primped

They LOVE Alyson!

Smallest shirt we could get for HJ

There's the house.

One of the production designers got shot in the head with a stray nail while we were there!

Michael Moloney, on air designer

These ladies were creating a scrapbook for the family.

We've known Alyson for more than five years, but this was the first time I'd been able to see her at work. The whole process was fascinating! There are so many volunteers and they really take over the neighborhood for the week during construction. Can't wait for this episode to air so the girls can see exactly what they were doing!

Eclipse

When you've got a four-month-old child, you get up at all times of the night.

Back in December we experienced a lunar eclipse here in Florida.

I got up to feed SJ.

The Daddy got up to take pictures.

When I went to feed our son, the sky was bright and I could see easily as I walked across the house to his room.

When I returned to bed, the sky had become dark.

Pretty cool, huh?
