He's a Muddy Buddy

Last weekend, The Daddy participated in a race called Muddy Buddy. According to the official website:

Teams of two traverse a 6-7 mile off-road course and 5 obstacles. At the start of the race, one team member will run and one will ride the bike. At the 1st obstacle, the rider will drop the bike, complete the obstacle, and begin running. The runner will arrive, complete the obstacle, find their bike and begin riding. Teams will continue leapfrogging each other through the entire course. At the end of the race, racers crawl through the infamous Mud Pit crossing the finish line together as official “Muddy Buddies”!

The Daddy and our friend Dan rode as the "Fighting CSONKAs" a tribute to a Miami Dolphins football player:

They even wore fake moustaches!

Post-race jersey

The guys finished in 52 minutes! Pretty impressive for their first time out.

Many wear costumes for the race. HJ loved these girls.

This obstacle was the last one before the finish line.

These blue guys had the best costumes I saw!

It was a steamy day and my lens fogged up!

Better. AE and The Daddy

HJ wasn't getting near him again!

There is even a Mini-Muddy Buddy, where kids can participate with a parent! Next year, girls. Next year.

After the race, we went to eat a yummy "second breakfast" and headed off to AE's soccer game. Needless to say, everyone in our house had great naps on Saturday afternoon!

That's too much! I have never heard of such, but it looks like a lot of fun (to watch...maybe not to participate in though).
