The Nutcracker

Day 6: Plan for "Something Special" Ahead of Time

Nana plans ahead. She bought tickets to the ballet way back in September, never expecting us to sell our house in less than 30 days. Praise God, we did!

After church and our peanut butter and jellies, we headed over to the Cobb Civic Center to attend the Georgia Ballet's performance of The Nutcracker.

The girls got their very own nutcrackers last night before bedtime.

Looking over the playbill.

Mama, HJ and AE

I LOVE how HJ "fit" in her seat!

AE crossing her legs like Nana!

AE acting out the story at home.

Totally pretending to be asleep!

The girls enjoyed the show, stayed in their seats (for the most part) and solidified my suspicions that AE will be ready for ballet lessons soon.

We're headed back to Florida tomorrow and hopefully moving into our house on Friday. Let's see if I can keep this challenge up! Thanks for coming along for the ride; I'd love to hear from some of you about your Christmas season traditions!

Also, pop quiz: what is the name of the little girl in The Nutcracker? I've heard two different ones and am curious which one is "correct."
