Chocolate Factory

One of the most darling ideas I've seen in a long time: a birthday party at the local chocolate shop!

AE was invited to a classmate's birthday party. Reservations were required. HJ tagged along, but did not get to participate. She was pacified with a juice box.

As the girls got there, each one had a little paper hat to decorate:
You can see under the plastic top a triangle of chocolate. Genius idea: they used red and white icing as "pizza sauce" and "cheese" to decorate the triangle. Then the girls got to sprinkle "toppings" on such as gummy bears, sprinkles, etc.

Each girl also got to pick two items to run through the chocolate coating machine. AE picked a gummy worm and a rice krispie treat. The other options were Oreoes (would have been MY choice) or Teddy Grahams.

Just look at that river of heavenly chocolate!

Then the girls got to hand dip marshmallows on a stick. They got to choose between dark and milk chocolate.

I took all these photos on my phone. Could you tell?

HJ did get to have a piece of cake and ice cream. For that, I was grateful.

And I got one, too!
