The Summertime "Plan"

One reason we didn't go to our neighborhood pool much last Summer:

BTW: Isn't our neighbor's house GORGEOUS?

Back a while, I mentioned a plan for our Summertime lives. Loosely, this is what our Summer will look like:

Monday
Zumba
Grocery shopping
Backyard fun- bubbles, sand table, slide, inflatable pool

Tuesday
Errands or "stay-in-pjs" day
Pool/playground/park/art projects

Wednesday
Pilates
Chick-fil-A with the kids for lunch
Backyard fun-bubbles, sand table, slide, inflatable pool

Thursday
Errands or "stay-in-pjs" day
Pool/playground/park or some other special activity (zoo, children's museum, etc.)

Friday
Kickboxing
Afternoon pool time

LOOSELY, because I don't want to commit! AND I'VE LEARNED NOT TO ANNOUNCE THE PLAN TO THE LITTLE ONES TOO FAR IN ADVANCE!

Our church offers exercise classes year round, but I loved doing it last Summer and chose to do it again this Summer because:

1. It's cheaper in the Summer
2. AE gets to play with her friend Brodie three days a week (she isn't in his class on Sundays)
3. Did I mention it's cheaper in the Summer?
4. I get to be someone other than "mama" for an hour and a half
5. I'm doing something for my health (physical and MENTAL!)
6. Oh, it's cheaper in the Summer!
7. We are OUT of the house, but NOT in the HEAT
8. I love the childcare our church provides
9. The girls get to play, do crafts, learn Bible stories and socialize
10. AND it's cheaper in the Summer!

What's your plan for Summer fun?

What a nice plan! I definitely need to get a more organized plan for activities for my kids. Since I'm only home 2 days/week, it seems like I run around like a chicken with my head cut off most of the time trying to juggle naps, lunch, workouts, errands and doctor appts on those days. At least Claire is out of pre-school for the summer so I don't have to squeeze in the drop-off and pick-up for that.
