From Summer to Fall

Here's just a quick before and after for you today.

Our front porch this summer:
The flower arrangements were actually hanging plants that I bought at a local nursery, already done up for me. I just snipped the hanger off and set it down into the black urns. No fuss, no muss.

This summer while we were out of town for 10 days, the white flowering plant dried up. Imagine that! So I replaced that third of the planter with potato vine. I love the lime green color of potato vine, and it looked so good with the pink geraniums.

Yesterday, I ripped out the pink geraniums and left the delicate baby's breath-like plant along with the potato vine. Then I plopped a "fun-kin" in the space where the geraniums were.

And now:

Oh, and the BATS! I bookmarked this idea a year ago. Got it done yesterday!

Love how it turned out. Want to do the same thing? Go HERE to see how.

love love love the bats. Did you use the recommended duct tape to adhere? wonder how well it would hold up since I don't have a covered porch. So cute!

How cute those bats are! I don't know how you had the time to do those. And your urns are beautiful too. Happy Fall to you!

This looks so great and you have the perfect doorway to decorate that way. I remember seeing that idea last year and thinking it looked so wonderful but it wouldn't look good on my house...but on your's its perfection.
